Castle Crashers is an action RPG adapted from a flash found on New Grounds. The game has a medieval theme with its set of default characters, an assorted set of colored knights, each with their respective magical element. The game features a storyline based around the retrieval of a powerful magic crystal and the rescue of four lovely princesses. It's somewhat of a bland story. But the true jewel of this game is its humor and its hand drawn graphics.
You'll have fun hacking and slashing your way through level through level trying to collect all the animal orbs and weapons and unlocking all of the extra hidden characters. You'll be laughing non-stop all the way.
The game also features two competitive multi-player game modes in addition to its co-op. Arena is a battle mode between 2 to 4 players. Base states are all equal, leaving your only modifiers to be your weapon and animal orb. Last man standing wins. The other mode is "All You Can Quaff", a speed eating contest. To eat, simply alternate pressing X and Y as fast as possible. Upon finishing one fruit, hit quickly to ring the bell and get the next plate and repeat. Progress is marked by the rising pennant behind the player. First one to finish eating five fruits wins!
The game is easy to learn, fun to play, and hard to put down. The game is definitely worth the 1200 points, but don't take my word for it, play it for yourself
